Singapore Trip 2004

Came back to Malaysia on the 23rd. Then took my car and drove to Singapore the next day. Celebrated Christmas at Orchard Road. There were thousands of people flocking the streets. Some familar malaysian faces too.

Then off to Tanjong Pagar for dinner and checked-in to a hotel. The air-cond was too cold for my comfort.

The next day we went to Bugis Street to eat. Little did we know that an earthquake had hit Sumatera and a tidal tsunami was hitting asia. We were inside the MRT when it happened and luckily, it didn't felt a thing. Later, i got news that the tremors were felt as far as KL.

In the afternoon, we strolled around Chinatown. I missed the Oishi Genmai Flavour Green Tea in Thailand but there were none in SG.

Things are a bit different in SG as everything was expensive. In my mind, i had kept calculating the currency everytime we bought something. Double the price.

The next day, we were in the MRT to go back to Kranji, a girl puked in the crowded MRT and made a mess on the floor.

Bangkok Trip 2004

Went to Bangkok for my vacation this year. It was really great. Stayed for 1 week. 15th December - 23rd December. There were the 3 of us, Bob Sani, Abu-Chub & me.

We stayed mainly at Malaysia Hotel. But due to the peak tourist season, we had to change hotels 2 - 3 times due to over booked rooms.

The 2nd hotel (Tunmahamek Privacy Hotel) was really the pits. Below the building, protitutes were setting up shop in the room rows below and men on bikes lined up to get their service. The scary part was that were loud noises from the adjacent room where it was being renovated. Minor setbacks really.

Overall, Bangkok is a great place to visit. Here are some photos taken from the trip.


Visited many interesting places like Jatuchak (.. did i spell it right) Market where the prices are dirt cheap, Bought lots of (RM 2 ringgits = 20 bht) necktie. The market is also HUGE. They sell everything under the sun. Local delicacies includes fried bugs, worms and other unindentified thingies. My favorite edible dish is the sweet deserts stuff which was served in cups and it's good. Consisting of bananas, yam and milk. At the pets section there were some weird animals for sale like a baby crocodile.

Went to IChub too. Had our dinner there. Unfortunately, there is a new law in Bangkok which limits entertainment places opened after 1 o'clock. (Bummer!) So after 1 a.m, we all went to Silom for supper and went back to the hotel. Silom is like Chow Kit where hawkers and sellers sells their wares along the roadside. A popular spot is Cafe Society.

Near Silom is the famous Patpong area. Where you can see sex shows. We went into one of the A-Go-Go Boys club where the entry was free but a glass of coke cost RM 20 ringgits. The show was horrible. Guys with huge dicks and pseudo sex acts. We quickly moved to another club featuring muscular men called the Tartawan club. Upon entering, all the staff was lining on stage doing a masturbating act and those who can cum, gets a round of applause. The most shocking was the fucking show, where 2 couples in ski mask was really fucking on stage and then goes down to one table after another around the club asking for tips.

On monday, we went up the Cho-Praya river. saw the royal barge which i was told was made out of 100% gold. Bought some stuff at the floating market. Then some picture session at the riverside temple. And lastly some fish feeding frenzy at the fish farm.

After the boat ride we went to the Grand Palace and the Sanam Luang Park where we feeds the friendly birds. An interesting sight is the stalls. Where they set up picnic style. Sitting on the park and enjoying the afternoon sun.

At night, we went to the Suan Lum Night Bazaar. There were lots of cheap handicraft items to buy and there were live bands performing at the beer garden. It was hip and trendy.

The next day, we went to Mabukom (MBK) equivalent to KL Central Market for breakfat cum dinner and strolled around athe this XXXXXL shop which sells big size shirts . Then we headed to the IT centre and after that walked all the way to the World Plaza. There were also live bands performing at the beer garden.

Malas.... segala...malas

Ari ni malas nak buat apa2... maklum lah dah cuti. Lepak kat umah adie jap... baiki komputer dia kena virus. Then gi dobi baju... ader la dekat 3 - 4 kilo. Pastu mengadap DVD kat umah.. sempat la pinjam citer CSI Complete Season 1 ngan Abg Josie.

Abu ader dtg melaka, lepak la ngan dia gi tengok MITC consumer fair. Beli kasut murah RM 30 je. Beli begpack.

Ajak Abu pegi Wisma Persekutuan gi buat passport. Kopak lagi duit RM 300. Pegi bank nak settle credit card. Bla.. bla bla.. bayar bill.. bla bla bla.. cuci mata.

Ari ni tak der idea sangat nak buat. Singgah opis kejap mengadap apa2 yang patut. Lampu kat my private room buat hal.. hmm.. nak kena report kat maintenance. Macam biasa.. abg maintenance lembab buat keja.

Update beberapa issue kat website. Server sumer jalan ok. Pegi survey handphone kat Mahkota Parade. Saja cuci mata.. sementara tunggu Nokia 1 Megapixel terbaru sampai. Ingat nak tengok wayang.. tapi citer macam tak best jer.

Komputer kat rumah kena virus Win32/Hi-Drag. Sesowaiii.. update antivirus dan clean virus. Hmm.. kalu upgrade PC nie pon best gak.. tapi aper lagi nak taruk ? Install Apache /MySQL/ PHP skali.. senang nak develop module untuk mychub kat umah. Ingat nak network kan rumah.. tapi hub boss pinjam plak. Iskk..

My mind goes blank!. Abg Din telepon.. nak pinjam duit RM 2000. Entah apa projek skim cepat kaya dia nak masuk tuh.. Isk tak serik2. Malas nak layan.. so kelentong kat dia kata nak pakai duit bulan ni nak downpayment kereta baru. Heheheh

Besok nak gi KL jap.. nak simpan kereta kat rumah Tija & Shireen. Maybe nak belek komputer Shireen tengok apa2 program bagus boleh copy. Still bertahun-tahun asyik dok pakai Power Builder nak buat programming.. Iskk tak power pon.

Anak senator Gan Boon Leong datang jumpa, ajak tolong jadi secretariat untuk pertandingan angkat-berat kebangsaan kat melaka. Hmm.. best jugak. Dapat jadi locker room boy bon jadi ler.. So aku tolong la promo skali. Hampeh.. persatuan angkat berat malaysia tak der website. Nanti aku kenen kat senator buatkan website untuk dia.

Coach rugby aku ajak gi Bangkok. Ok jugak.. leh tengok team kat sana main camana. Dah lama aku tak main.. bole lagi ke? Team old-boys pon lagi banyak menketedarah dari turun padang.. sumer dah jadi boroi-boroi belaka. 5 minit main.. pastu 1 jam lepak tepi padang isap rokok.

Semalam krem molot. Silap tido kot.. atau gigi problem. Nak gi klinik gigi nie phobia sikit. Doktor dah berpuluh kali suruh cabut gigi geraham. Tak moh la.. kang hilang seri plak.. ahax.

Holiday at last...

Today is the start of my 1 month sabatical leave. During last week I was frantically doing a lot of programming. Apart of a few new modules for MyChub, I'm also doing a database application. Working with 2 sets of different language, VB & PHP is very tiring.. mentally of course. My mind kept going back and forth to do 2 things at once. Plus, the pressure and dateline... No sweat for a specialist like me.. LOL


On a company dinner, I've won the grand prize lucky draw - a diamond & gold bracelet worth RM 500. This is the 1st time I won anything expensive. I'm keeping this for a special someone.. hehehe.

One suprising note, I've got my google check in, so that's an extra bonus this month.

During the weekend, I went to MITC coz there is a Trade Show. Found a booth that sells some cool XXXL T-shirt at only RM 10. Bought a couple of "dual" shirts which can be worn inside and out, 2 shirt for the price of one. Very nice...

Also saw SidiBear and his chubby wife at the trade show, later we all went to Big Bro Josie's house to see his new born baby. Little Fiedel Castro. Hahha.. so cute lah . Luckily, the raya spirit was still in the air. (and a few raya kuih) Also saw little bro Juan.. he has gotten slimmer.. uwaahh!!.. i wish he stayed chub.. coz he looks better that way. Dato' and Datin was also around... luckily they were busy with the baby and let us talk in peace.

Post Raya Work & More Work

Well.. i finally got the database working. Now idling around with nothing to do. Got one more week before my long holiday and I need to finish off whatever I need to do before that. Somehow or rather I'm not in the zest to do anything today.

Went back home and cook for lunch. Curry chicken, some prawns and a bit of rice. Filling but I think i added in too much oil and grease. Now bloated and kinda lazy. Hauled myself back to the office for more idle stuff and killing time until my next paycheck arrives.

Did a little bit of research on the latest java programming development. I can do a lot with Java but PHP is the "in-thing" nowadays. Not many hosting supports java and those that do cost a hefty sum. Need an idea on how to generate a search module for mychub. But I'll put that on hold until next week, when a new team of web developers volunteer comes in.

Dabbled abit with the Xeon server and updated some patches. Did a bit of hack on the 2003 terminal server. I hate windows.. but my vendor swears that thats the way to go. If I'd go my way, I would change it to linux and stick to it. Updated my personal Blade Red Hat server to the latest patch and upgraded the webmin module to version 1.70.

Then read some online new at tomshardware.com. Nothing much to catch there, a new article on how to make a cheap XGA projector. Maybe I would try one of those.. have a couple of old laptops that needs to be thrown away. Salvage the LCD screen and hook it up to a projector.

Tinkered abit with MsSQL 8, personally I prefer Oracle 9i better. No comprimise! Whatever MS puts under the hood just makes the server crawls. The microsoft way... hehehe.

So that's all for today... maybe tomorrow I have more exciting stuff to write.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Raya tahun ni tak berapa meriah. Maklom la.. raya ke-4 dah kena kerja balik. Adoii malasnyer... Aku ada satu projek belom siap lagi ni... Buat Database application. Sengaja aku lengah2 sampai last minit. Mana ler tahu.. kot kot ada idea canggih datang time-time last minit nie.

Pagi raya pertama aku pegi beraya kat rumah Adie (Bleubar) - sempat la makan ala kadar. SMS Riez, akak dia sakit masuk hospital. So kensel gi rumah riez. Then pegi rumah Kapitan - makan lagie. Pastu ajak kapitan pegi rumah Imran - perut dah kembong tak leh nak makan lagi. Lekat kat rumah imran dekat 2 jam.. gara-gara nak tunggu Suhaili datang. Bila suhaili sampai, then ramai-ramai gi rumah Abg Mokhtar. Borak-borak sampai la maghrib. Dah gerak nak balik.. alih-alih dapat idea nak gi Muar plak. So call la Hardchub. Nasib baik Hard ada kat umah. Kap macam biasa bawak kereta sesat sampai Sg Mati nak masuk Serom. Sampai umah hard makan lagie. Pastu hard ajak gi beraya rumah Bigmalay (Biggie).. terus konvoi gi rumah biggie. Borak lagi sampai la kul 12 mlm.

Lepas hantar sumer balik, sampai rumah dah dekat 3 pagi. Letih giler.. terus tido.

Besoknya bangun tido kul 11 pagi. Terus masuk opis... ingat nak siapkan database.. idea tarak. Buat itu ini.. check e-mail bla bla bla.. dah kul 11 malam. Aiseh.. cepatnya masa berlalu. Balik rumah terus makan dan tido. Then bangun kul 9 pagi.. siap apa yang patut.. then hantar Jesnita balik KL. kat highway plak jem.. nak balik singgah kat R&R.. nasi habis.. terpaksa la aku makan bubur nasi je nak alas perut sementara nak sampai rumah.

Atas highway baru aku perasan minyak dah nak habis. Dalam wallet tinggal seringgit je. Lupa nak cucuk duit kat ATM. Singgah kat Seremban .. ATM tergendala sebentar. Ok tak pe.. singgah kat Restoran Jejantas Ayer Keroh.. sama jugak.. ATM tergendala. Aiseh.. minyak dah sampai menyala E. Gamble je la.. pecut sampai jugak kat rumah. Sempat plak singgah kat opis kejap.. uiks.. aku ada sehari lagi dateline untuk database ni.. tak per tangguh lagi. Masih ada masa...

Kepala aku dah pening.. besok harapnya idea datang mencurah-curah untuk database project ni. Sementara tu.. copy masuk thumbdrive. Kot kat umah nanti aku terasa nak buat. Maybe lepas tengok DVD citer "The Incredibles". Aku ada semangat sket nak buat. Tuh ler.. aku sumpah seranah boss baru ni.. kedekut nak mampoz. Orang suruh bayor RM 4000 untuk database yang dah siap tak nak.. dok suruh aku buat free free. Hmm.. jawabnya aku buat cincai je la.. jangan marah plak kalu tak ikut spec. Aku pakai Access je.. padan muka ko. Kalu nak version pakai Oracle.. bayor la. Pueh hati.

Of Birthdays and Babes....

Yeay! got an early B'day present from Abu_Chub today... a spanking new Nokia 6600 handphone. Always wanted that phone coz of the superb camera feature. And it's chub too... shucks! how did you ever guessed that I like chubby handphones Abu ? Thank you.. thank you.. thank you... thank you!!!

Although I miss my Nokia 2300 with the radio function. Nonetheless, beggar can't be choosers.

Now I can play with GPRS MMS function and surf the web via WAP. I read somewhere that you can actually control linux server via your phone. So thats what I'm gonna try out. Makes my life a whole lot easier. Been adding in a lot of software into it too. One nifty app i found is a mosquito repellent software, where the phone can actually send out a high pitched sound and it's supposed to deter any blood sucking mosquitos. Nifty huh !!!

Other than that, I've been taking candid pictures like crazie. Look at the quality of that...


Anyway, I'm still fiddling with the video function as the default app only allows you to record abt 10 sec. Just downloaded the philips cam pro app, the quality is good. But it sometimes hangs.

Anyway, i quite happy with my new fangled gadgets. Until I get one of those Nokia 7610.. *hint* *hint*

Btw, a girl I knew from her sister who works at my office, suddenly asked me out for buka puasa at her house. I guess she fancies me.. or does the sister ?? Hmm.. there maybe hope yet. I wouldn't get all my eggs into one basket though. I think meet the parents thing for buka puasa is a bad start for a relationship.

That reminds me of a new movie coming out called "Hitch - The Cure for The Common Man", starring 2 of my fav actor, Will Smith & Kevin James (Of The King of Queens Sitcom). The last part of the scene which shows Kevin James kissing Will Smith is hillarious. Can't wait to see that...

A Pleasant Surprise....

What seems like a crappy weekend, turns out the opposite. Due to a certain individual set out on a vendetta against me and mychub. Spreading my blog into the yahoo groups, and trying to tarnish my reputation. I got a lot of heavy traffic lately. It raises some eyebrows definately and not to mention ruffled a few feathers.

But nothing could beat the suprise cheque from Google Inc. My 1st payment from the Google ads in my blogger. Thanks to the adsense program I've now got a steady income around 100 US Dollar a month. That translates into RM 380. Which is easy money considering that I didn't write much in here.

Whatever the vicious plan set upon me backfired. I'm a couple of hundred dollars richer.. so should I be depressed and afraid like the title says ? hell yeah.

Moral of the story :: Hiding under the veil of anonymity of Yahoo would not do you any good. I've tracked the culprits's IP : 219.93.174.xxx (wan2mambo / men4menchub / amir20041). And already asked Yahoo! to give me the identity of this user. Harassment is still a crime... may it be online or offline.

UPDATE:
Yahoo have complied with our complaints and the culprit Yahoo group (mychaser2003) have been removed permanently. Not only that, we also got a tip from Yahoo of who is the culprit!! Yes... we gotcha !!

My 2 cents...

A few weeks ago, moks was asked to have a meeting with the Bigboyz (Mike Kang, Mostapa, Munno & BigBear). Later, Basketball joined us, while Bob Sani of BLEUbar as the inter-mediator.

The whole reason for the meeting was to organize "The Big Party". The one party that is said to unite the whole Chub & Chaser Community. Organized by Bigboyz, Venue provided by BLUEbar.

Moks however was quite reluctant. As the old saying goes, once bitten twice shy. I don't want to open the closet here, but after what they had done to mychub was an utter betrayal. I don't hold grudges, but I have learnt my lesson well not to trust Bigboyz, esp with events involving money.

After the MyChub Annual Dinner 2000. Mike & Pa took almost 1/2 of the mychub members with him and created bigboyz, along with the left over money from the MyChub Annual Dinner 2000. There weren't a single cent left and me and abu had to strugle and built mychub from scratch.

There were few symphathetic who knew the whole story but even they could do nothing. Some were scared, more don't even care.

Now we have re-buit mychub to what it is today.

And now they dare to ask MyChub to join them back. While they organize and reapt the profit. While Bleubar gets his percentage from the collection money. MyChub gets nothing... just a small logo on the flyers saying we supported the event. How pityful is that...

Thanks, but NO THANKS... I'm not going to be your propaganda machine anymore. You reap the profit and we'll get the blame.

Let people say that I'm a party pooper. Let people say that I don't contribute to the betterment of the Chub & Chaser community. But I will not let mychub be used for anybody's personal gain.
So I'm staying as far away as possible from these kniving people.

MyChub has been a pioneer & innovator for the chub & chaser community. We were the one that proposed the idea of a the local / state minor club by the name of MyChub Rep.

Back then, nobody dared, many even laughed and ridiculed at the idea. But now, look how far we have achieved (and being deceived).

For the Northern States, there now NCC. Our mychub rep aalimin becomes the head of NCC. But now, they don't even acknowledge that they are part of mychub. And the galleries are full of Bigboyz people.

For the southern states there is JBChub under Mallchub & ZainJB. We hope that it would not be like NCC. But it too had it's rough times. When mychub initially had it's gatherings under Maori27, Bigboyz had done their part in nearly wrecking JBchub.

Most of the poeple don't know and don't care about all these. But for the sake of MyChub... I still know and I still care...

Penang Road Trip... 2004 and Merdeka Day!!!

Among all suprises.. Abu_Chub came to Melacca to visit me. In my down mood, a familiar face is a good thing to see. He was on his way back to Penang and wanted to see if I wanted to join him. So I took a whole week off and travel to Penang. It was much of the needed relief that I was looking for.

We planned to go to Aalimin's & Usman's Birthday party on the 4th, but both of us does not have adequate holidays left, thus we try to make it up by showing there a little earlier.

Along the highway, stopped at the Sg. Perak to buy a supply of Tongkat Ali. Never believed in the stuff until i tried it. It a Miracle !!!

On the 31st we headed back to Johore. A bit of bad news, abu's motocycle had been stolen. Spent the whole merdeka celebration at Pantai Lido around Danga Bay watching the fireworks display. It was Awsome!! but the traffic was realy bad. Finally went back to KT really exhausted. On the 1st, went to JB to look around for a car for abu, finally ordered a Proton Gen2. But it will take around 2 months to get it. So abu.. hang on there, it's just a minor set back.

Bro Josie had a cute baby boy. Congrats bro !!! (Reminder: get a gift for the baby)

And Abg Mokhtar stopped by my office for a visit today.. it's been ages since I last saw him. Suprise.. suprise !!!
