JB Gatherings

Well.. the weekends were spent going to the JBchub gathering in Johore. Actually it was not planned. I called Abu_Chub and he was in Batu Pahat. So after work I drove to Batu Pahat to pick-up Abu at the Garden Hotel and off we went to JB.

Did some seight seeing at the JB maze. Then off we went to dinner with ZainJB and the gang near the ProJet station somewhere around Angsana. There were a few new faces and well the old faces around. Well.. it was like a pre-gath, discussing about what to wear, things to bring and things to do and as such. Later Abahmoden (mallchub), joined us for a late supper. Around 1 am, we had to excused ourselves coz we need to drive for another 2 hours to Kota Tinggi. Although we can get a hotel in JB and starts the travel with the gang in the morning. But we promised to get some stuff ready for them and it's all in Kota Tinggi.

I slept at some part of the journey and the road was so deserted and lonely, there were no gas station around and after drinking so much (... like 3 glasses of Milo). I had to pee a few times and the only option was the road side. Desperate times requires desperate measures!!! Felt like a dog marking my territory.. *piisshhhhh*

Reached Kota Tinggi at abt 4 am. Went about doing my stuff.. preparing the souveniers while Abu slept soundly. Finished at abt 6.00 am. Slept abt 4 hours and woke at 9.00 am. Had a quick bath and then off to the local town for a cake and some wrappings. (... had to improvised a bit). then off we drove to Bandar Penawar to meet the rest of the gang. Fortunately, when we reach there there were about to have breakfast. So we joined them.

After breakfast, our convoi of 2 cars and 1 SUV packed with chubs started it's journey to La'Cemara Resort in Desaru. Upon reaching there, we packed our stuff. But the guard made a fuss that since we are not hotel visitors, we had to park outside. so much for Redtape! Anyway, with the infamous power of persuasion of Mallchub, we got to park the cars inside. (... there weren't so many cars in the first place). It was nearly deserted.. and on Sunday too.

There were we, BennyJB, the cute singaporean couple, zainJB, Nottichub, Mallchub, Abu_Chub, Pismitt and of course me. We had the whole beach to ourselves. The weather was great... not too hot.. not to cold. It was a great splashing time. During half-time, we went to shore and had some drinks and cut the cake. Tender and moist.

Afterwards, we went for a second round of sand and sea water. Right till afternoon.. we pack our stuff and head to Kota Tinggi for a delicious Nasi Ayam. Then off to Kota Tinggi Waterfalls for more splashing time. The water this time was cold and it had started raining. So it was gushing.. really fantastic.

We came out of the waterfalls at 6.00 pm and hungry again. So we had one last a nice dinner after we all departed to our own destination.
